Smoked Pots

The African influenced hand built pieces are burnished then decorated with slips and paper resist creating patterns inspired by African textiles. They are snoked fired and finally polished with wax.
The blues, creams and browns reflect the colour and tones used by the Tuareg, "Indigo" men of Mali. The African walking pots are slender with the shape suggesting movement and heated copper wire adds an element of adornment.
